    1. Product Availability and Pricing

      Sometimes with the volume of orders we receive, an item can go out of stock before we're able to post notification to the site. If this happens, we will notify you personally so we can help you find another item.Infrequently, data may be inaccurately displayed on our site due to system errors. While we make every attempt to avoid these errors, they may occur. We reserve the right to correct any and all errors when they do occur and we do not honor inaccurate or erroneous prices.     2. Sale of Settings without Center Diamonds

      Settings are available for purchase with or without the purchase of a diamond Diamond. If you decide to purchase a blank setting, you must sign a waiver that the setting is non returnable. We can only guarantee the quality of your purchase if we set a Gregg Helfer Ltd. diamond into one of our settings.

    3. Special Orders

      We want to help you find the perfect piece of jewelry. If you do not find it in our inventory, please call and speak to a jewelry consultant at 312-920-0970.

    4. View Your Diamond Before It Is Set

      If you prefer, you can view your diamond before it's set. Once you purchase and receive your Gregg Helfer Ltd. diamond, send it back to us and we will build a ring for you. We'll pay the shipping charges for delivery of your diamond, and your finished ring. View our Return Instructions.

    5. Ring Size

      If your Gregg Helfer Ltd. ring does not fit, we will resize it free of charge within 30 days of its original shipment. Resizing will take approximately 14-21 business days.

    6. Custom Jewelry

      We are happy to help you create the piece of jewelry from conception to completion. Please contact one of our jewelry consultants at 312-920-0970 for details.

    7. Payment Methods

      For your convenience, we offer the following payment methods:

      • Bankwires: Receive a 1.5% discount taken at checkout
    8. Policy on Debit Cards

      A debit card is treated differently than a credit card by your bank. A debit card is much like a credit card in that it may display a credit card company logo, like Visa or MasterCard, but a charge to your debit card uses funds directly from your bank account. The biggest difference is that your bank may institute a daily charge limit on your debit card. If the price of your order exceeds a daily limit set on your debit card we will notify you, as this will prohibit us from processing your order.

      As an alternative:

      • Continue your order via wire transfer and receive a 1.5% discount. A wire transfer is a simple process of contacting your bank to have funds moved from your bank to ours and is available for orders of $500 or more. It works on the same principle as your debit card, but requires some direct communication with your bank to allow for a larger transaction. We'll send you the easy instructions. It may require a few days for your bank to transfer your funds.
      • Continue your order using a credit card. If you order before noon, your order will begin processing today.
      • Contact your bank and request a one-time waiver of the daily charge limit. Then, you may complete your order.
    9. Gift Certificate Policies

      Currently, Gift certificates are only available by calling 312-920-0970. For security purposes, when you redeem your gift certificate online, we require that you use a credit card. This helps us ensure your identity, and protects against fraudulent use of your gift certificate. Your credit card will not be charged unless your order total exceeds the amount of your gift certificate. If you do not wish to use a credit card to redeem your gift certificate, call customer service at 312-920-0970. Gift certificates are not redeemable for cash, cannot be returned for a cash refund, and are not transferable. Any unused portion will remain available for future purchases under the same Gift Certificate Number. Gregg Helfer Ltd. is not responsible for lost or stolen gift certificates. Gregg Helfer Ltd. gift certificates are redeemable only at gregghelfer.com. Certificate cash value is, 1/10 of one cent. Gift certificates and unused portions expire on the date listed on your printed gift certificate, or the date listed in your gift certificate e-mail (does not apply to California or where prohibited by law).

    10. Shipments are Insured

      We fully insure each order all the way to you. That means that when your order is in transit to you, shipment is always risk-free. For added security, it is our policy that a signature is required for all Gregg Helfer Ltd. orders over $750, regardless of any signature waivers you may have with UPS.

    11. Alternate Shipping Addresses

      If you prefer, we can ship your order to an address other than your billing address. As a security precaution, we require that your alternate shipping address be on file with your credit card company, if your order totals over $1000. This step helps protect you from fraudulent charges to your credit card.

    12. Saturday Delivery

      If you cannot be available to receive your order on a weekday, we may be able to arrange for your order to be delivered on Saturday. UPS Saturday Service, available in the vast majority of US cities, is subject to availability. If Saturday Service is unavailable in your area, we can arrange for you to pick up your package at the UPS World Service Center nearest you. If you're interested in these services, you can choose this option at checkout($25 minimum charge) or call 312-920-0970 to speak to a jewelry consultant.

    13. Diamond Certificates

      When you order a loose diamond, we may ship it to you with the accompanying diamond grading report (also called a diamond certificate). At times, these certificates are shipped seperate from the diamond a few days after purchase. These grading reports are lengthy, detailed documents created by diamond grading experts.— making it very expensive to replace a diamond grading report. Because of this, we require each diamond grading report to be included with each returned diamond. If you do not include both the diamond grading report and appraisal with your return, you will be charged a replacement fee.

    14. Laser Inscriptions

      Many of our diamonds are already laser inscribed. If you find a diamond you'd like to purchase but it does not have a laser inscription, we recommend that you purchase the diamond and send it to a diamond grading lab where they can inscribe the diamond for you.

    15. Sales Tax

      Currently, sales tax is only collected on orders shipped to addresses in the state of Illinois.

    16. Easy Returns

      To help ensure you make the right choice, we offer a very flexible return policy. If for any reason you are not satisfied, you can return any item without custom engraving in its original condition within 30 days of the date of shipment for a refund or an exchange.     17. Comparison Purchasing

      To keep our prices low, we do not allow comparison purchasing. Comparison purchasing is the act of buying several items with the intent of keeping the one you like best and returning the remainder. This causes undue restocking and inventory overhead and can be very costly.     18. Information on Our Web Site

      At Gregg Helfer Ltd., we make every attempt to ensure that our online catalog is as accurate and complete as possible. In order to give you the opportunity to view our products in great detail, some products may appear larger or smaller than their actual size in our photographs; and since every computer monitor is set differently, color and size may vary slightly. Our objective is to provide you with as much information and detail about your prospective purchase as possible so that you can see the beauty and shape of a particular item.

      In compliance with industry standards and FTC regulations, Gregg Helfer Ltd. states that carat total weight in all purchases may vary 0.05 carats from stated weight. On the Gregg Helfer Ltd. Web site, we display the dimensions of our products based on the information received from our manufacturers. For any convex or rounded jewelry item, the width and length stated(if provided) in the product description is taken by the manufacturer, prior to the rounding of the metal in the manufacturing process, which may lead to a discrepancy in any measurements taken after this process. Also, for each item containing multiple diamonds, we list the average grade and measurement for color, clarity, and carat weight. These averages are calculated by adding all grades or measurements that comprise the inventory with regard to that particular piece of merchandise, and determining the closest mean. Gregg Helfer Ltd. is committed to offering high-quality diamonds, sourced from the world's largest and best suppliers.

      As responsible citizens and jewelry merchants, we share the public's concern regarding conflict diamonds. At Gregg Helfer Ltd., we only purchase our diamonds through respected, well-established, legal channels. In April 2003, President Bush passed a bill adopting the Kimberley Process that requires all US diamond retailers to buy diamonds from manufacturers who have documentation warranting that the merchandise was obtained through legitimate channels. Today, the US Customs Service is actively enforcing the Kimberley Process requirements as diamonds enter American ports. We support this process. Each diamond cutter, manufacturer, or distributor we work with obtains diamonds exclusively from legitimate sources, and they comply completely with the Kimberley Process requirements.

    19. Legal Notices

      Under no circumstances shall Gregg Helfer Ltd. be liable for any indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages of any kind, regardless of the form of action, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), strict product liability or otherwise, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.     3. Signature Requirements For Delivery

      If your delivery is over $750 we require a signature for delivery regardless of any waivers you have from UPS. If you would like to arrange delivery to a UPS location call one of our customer service agents at 312-920-0970.
